Macdonald Book Shop is happy to announce Bibliophile Night’s are continuing! As many of you may know, we partner with Estes Valley Library for author talks to help bring books to our community. Macdonald Book Shop, and Inkwell and Brew will be hosting various events throughout the off-season to bring locals together for fun book talks and author signings. Macdonald Book Shop and Children’s Book Week Promotion

Is children’s literacy important to you? Literacy for all ages is important to Macdonald Book Shop, plus we love any excuse to have fun!
Visit our shop in Estes Park, Colorado between May 5 and 11, 2025 to take advantage of our Children’s Book Week promotion. Our nation celebrates kid’s books twice a year, and one of those times is in May. Staci and Kevin want to make it possible for children to add to their library, so we are offering a buy one, get one half off promotion the entire week. The books included in this special are all kids and young adult titles, including graphic novels and manga (it does not include adult graphic novels, manga, games or smart lab items).
During your visit, chat with one of our booksellers for suggestions. We love to talk books; especially, our favorite reads. We all have that book – the one that helped us become bibliophiles – we want to help your kids find their favorite. Nicole has always been a die hard mystery/fantasy fan, ever since Terri brought home The Ghost in the Third Row by Bruce Coville. The memories from that book and getting it at Macdonald Book Shop are two of the reasons she wanted to work for the shop as an adult. While the book is out of print, there are so many new ones that are just as spectacular, whether your child loves mystery, fantasy, or is still figuring out what they love to read. We want to help make memories.
