Macdonald Book Shop is excited to announce our new events program. As many of you may know, we partner with Estes Valley Library for author talks to help bring books to our community. Macdonald Book Shop, and Inkwell and Brew will be hosting various events throughout the off-season to bring locals together for fun book talks and author signings. MACDONALD BOOK SHOP DONATION DRIVE

April is the month of the child and our donation drive to get books in the hands of local children. For two years, we have offered free blind dates to those who donate $5 or more to our drive. This year we hope to reach $1500 in donations. Last year, we managed to raise $1,000 and saw sixty children attend our Fall Trolley Event.
Each Fall, either in October or November, the town allows EVICS to use a trolley to transfer children and parents from EVICs to Macdonald Book Shop. We close our doors early to host three to five sets of parents and children. Each child receives an allocated amount to spend on books. Last year, it equaled $20 per child. Nicole and Staci were delighted to host the event and watch as babies to teenagers were able to choose two to three books.
Cash is preferred; however, we can take credit card donations.
